Kantele and Jouhikko (Jouhi Kantele) are traditional string instruments of Finnic speaking ethnic groups. Kantele belongs to the class of horisontal harps and usually has five to twelwe or more strings. Jouhikko (Jouhi Kantele) is of class of bowed lyre and has usually two to three strings of which only one is played and the rest make a constant sound. |
