Kañkles Belonging to a larger group of instruments often called Baltic Psalteries Lithuanian Kañkles is very remarkable by an almost infinite variety of shape, form and decoration. This large site is entirely about this outstanding instrument. Made under supervision of Prof. Romualdas Apanavicus the leading Lithuanian instrumentologist this site represents the most extensive information covering history, development and the present state of the traditional Lithuanian Kañkles. There you may find maps, images, pictures, technical drawings of many instruments and a lot of sounds recorded since mid century. There are also plenty of information related to similar instruments of Estonian, Latvian and Finnic people.
